Your Role and Responsibilities
The Operations Buyer acts as a first point of contact for all Procurement related activities of a client organization. Responsible for Procurement advisory services, full buyer purchase order placement and for providing support for procurement applications and process related help requests. Operation Buyers are aligned by categories, and are working to ensure smooth operation of category directives in the day to day business. The position will be supporting the US region in afternoon shift.
Main Responsibility Areas

Act as gatekeeper in Requisition process: review requisition requirements, enforce category directives and approve for automated purchase order generation
Liaise with requesters/suppliers/category managers for additional information or any questions
Act as subject matter expert in end to end purchasing processes
Provide guidance for client specific processes and procedures, including the procurement policy and the execution of category strategies
Provide support in new supplier setups or extensions
Interface with clients and suppliers on payment issues
Ensure audit readiness of all purchasing documents
Work with Accounts Payable in resolving blocked invoices
If questioned, provide ‘how do I’ (walkthrough) application or status support
Gather all relevant information to be included in problem report and escalation to the appropriate Level 2 contact

Scope

Participates as individual contributor to team
Full ownership in performing and coordinating day-to-day activities to meet operational metrics of the team
Direct responsibility for the ordering process
Decision making after gathering relevant information for solving the problems

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Willingness to work in afternoon shift between 3 pm -11pm
Fluent English language skills
Strong oral and verbal communication skills
Good team player with direct and indirect project teams
Strong time management and prioritization skills
Business Controls Requirements
Skills to ensure high client and stakeholder satisfaction
